Pip Winsdor
Pip qualified as a physio in England in 1989 and has been treating Breathing Pattern Disorders (BPD) since 1997 after discovering this area of physiotherapy whilst working in Waitakere Hospital, New Zealand.
She returned to England and spent the next 8 years finding out how widespread the impact of a disordered breathing pattern was for people in pain whilst working in musculoskeletal outpatients and how life changing the improvements could be.
At this time the UK group now known as Physiotherapy for Breathing Pattern Disorders was in it’s infancy and Pip was part of the development of the special interest group.
In 2005 Pip moved with her family to Perth, Western Australia, became a Bradcliff Practitioner after completing the 3 levels and set up the first clinic in WA solely for the treatment of Breathing Pattern disorders. She now has a teaching role on the online courses and is delighted at the growing number of Bradcliffers now both in WA and beyond!
As someone who has felt the effects of asthma, allergies and chronic sinus infections, particularly on breathing during running, Pip’s special interests include breathlessness in athletes and she brings that into her own love for trail running and running coaching.
The importance of recognising breathing dysfunction in asthma and all lung diseases is something Pip feels needs spreading far and wide in our communities. In 2022 she joined the Clinical Advisory Group at Respiratory Care WA
Trail running, hiking, kayaking & making the most of anything outdoors in WA and beyond is where you’ll find her on the weekends, or just sitting doing a bit of nothing…
